Musical Director - Louise Langley LRAM
High Wycombe born Louise has been an accomplished and much respected figure in the musical life of Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties for many years. A Member of the Royal Academy of Music, Louise’s superb musical abilities ensure that the renowned “sound” of the Orpheus continues to flourish and indeed the Choir’s popularity and acclaim is a credit to her unique sense of professionalism and dedication over twenty years as both Accompanist and Musical Director.
In addition to her long association with the Orpheus, Louise’s talents extend to singing and acting, and teaching music in local schools and through private tuition. She also plays the organ at services in two local churches.
It is no mean feat to motivate 70 Orpheus choristers to blend their voices in beautiful harmonies and without doubt Louise is a hard task master (or mistress!). Louise achieves a fine balance of new material with the old favourites
that Orpheus concert enthusiasts expect and does it with passion, patience and panache!
