Book a Choir Concert

- let us help with
Your Fund Raising!

Every year we help to raise money for national and local charities and perform in support of numerous local organisations, in venues ranging from churches through village halls to theatres, and even in the open air!

For each concert we provide the conductor, compere, accompanist and of course our choristers. We develop with you an appropriate musical programme, and for a nominal cost offer our quality printed choir Concert Programmes into which you can place your own inserts detailing your chosen repertoire and cause, for resale by you at a price of your choosing. We can assist in production if required.

Typically we also bring our own portable tiered staging, and in the absence of a well-tuned piano at the venue, we can by arrangement provide an electronic keyboard.

Your commitment would be to provide the venue and light refreshments, generate publicity, and make ticket and Programme sales.

Most concerts have ticket prices ranging from £6 to £10, depending on the type of event. This would mean that if 150-200 people attended at the typical £8 per head, £1200-£1600 could be taken in ticket sales alone, and extra income raised from Programmes and refreshments.

The choir often bring along 20-30 partners and friends to our concerts, who would pay a negotiated concessionary rate forming part of your ticket sales.

The choir fee is set to cover our commitments and royalties - typically 25% of takings, with a £250 minimum up to a maximum of £400. We will consider charging a lower base fee in support of specific local events where we have a special affinity with the cause or organisation.

In all cases we expect a booking deposit to be paid, which is non-returnable if the proposed event is later cancelled. This is only fair since by committing the Choir to a specific event we are turning down other opportunities in the weeks around it, and we cannot easily replace any lost booking at short notice.

For less ambitious ventures, you do need to ensure a minimum paying audience of 50-60 people, not only to cover costs, but to make the event worthwhile for all concerned. An enthusiastic audience encourages the Choir to deliver its best, and we hate to outnumber our audience!

We already have a busy diary of events into 2009, but are happy to discuss how your requirements might be met. For fund-raising to be a success, forward planning is vital.
